Xcel Energy hosted a virtual town hall on May 25, 2021, to provide information about the electric transmission line rebuild prior to the submittal of Location and Extent permit applications to Garfield County and City of Glenwood Springs. View a copy of the presentation in English or Spanish.

Coordination with Jurisdictions

Fall 2022: Location and Extent permit applications have been submitted to the City of Glenwood Springs and Garfield County and are currently under review. Hearings for each permit application will be scheduled for a later date and hearing details will be posted to on this page. Find out more about current and future work planned for the project.

Oct. 19, 2020: Xcel Energy appeared before the Garfield County Board of County Commissioners to request permission to enter a county-owned property located in Glenwood Springs to perform surveys and studies for the project. View a copy of the presentation here.

Aug. 20, 2020: Xcel Energy appeared before the Glenwood Springs City Council to provide information about the Project, address questions, and receive feedback. View a copy of the presentation here.
